Matt Smith is a marketing strategist, software founder, and author based in Nashville.

He has over 20 years of experience as a software and product developer and has run Plan Left, a Nashville-based digital marketing agency, since October 2012. Plan Left serves SMB and mid-market clients across home services, healthcare, education, and government.

Over that time, he developed a body of proprietary frameworks — including the Differentiator Framework™ and the Innovation Marketing Framework™ — that address the strategic and structural problems most marketing engagements never reach.

Those frameworks now form the foundation of his consulting practice, his software platform DiffBrand™, and two forthcoming books.

Matt is available for consulting engagements focused on marketing strategy, brand positioning, and growth architecture, as well as custom software development for businesses that need purpose-built tools to operationalize their marketing or operations. He continues to operate Plan Left, his Nashville-based entity for agency work.
